The City of Lebanon has several boards, committees, and commissions under its jurisdiction to make recommendations to the city council, help craft policy, recommend use of specific funds, and more.

Lebanon Park Board

The Park Board meets regularly and manages the Park Fund for the City.  The Park Board supervises Parks Department staff and plays a role in capital project planning and development, comprehensive planning for the parks system, and event development and management. The Lebanon Park Board meets at noon the second Wednesday of each month at the Winfrey Enrichment Center adjacent to Atchley Park. 

Library Board

The Library Board is a joint city-county board with 5 members appointed by Laclede County and 4 members appointed by the City.  The board sets the annual budget and manages library staff.

Housing Authority

The Lebanon Housing Authority is a public housing authority that manages low-income public housing in the city. Properties managed include Adams Place - 28 South Adams; Harwood Manor - 261 Harwood and Maple Village - 1225 Maple Lane. All other low-income housing is managed by Section 8 Housing. 

Airport Advisory Board

The Airport Advisory Board assists in making policy and management recommendations for the Floyd W. Jones Airport. The Airport Advisory Board meets at 6 p.m. the first Monday of each month at the Floyd W. Jones Airport. 

Downtown Business District

The Downtown Business District Board of Directors assists in recommending to the city council how money raised from business licenses and ad-valorem taxes within the downtown business district is spent.  Members of this board are required to be property owners or managers of businesses within the downtown business district. The Downtown Business District Board meets as needed. 

Lebanon Area Veterans Memorial

Members of this board are responsible for the supervision, improvement, maintenance, care and operation of all veterans memorials located inside the City of Lebanon. At least 4 of its 7 members must be veterans. The Lebanon Area Veterans Memorial Board meets as needed. 

Zoning and Planning Commission

The Zoning and Planning Commission assists the city in platting and subdividing property, reviewing site plans, comprehensive planning, reviewing conditional use permits, making zoning recommendations, and more. Zoning and Planning meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month at Lebanon City Hall. 

Board of Adjustment

This board hears appeals related appeals of decisions related to zoning and grants variances related to land hardships when deemed appropriate. If needed, the board meets at 5:30 p.m. prior to Zoning and Planning Commission meetings.

Storm Water Advisory Commission

This board serves as an advisory board to the City for matters related to storm water. The Storm Water Advisory Commission meets as needed. 

Board of Public Works

This board manages Lebanon utilities and meets at noon the first and third Wednesday at Lebanon Public Works.
